Oneonta Public Library is located downtown behind the old hotel across the road from Regions Bank.

We have over 40,000 items in our collection including books, audio books, DVD's and other videos, a large children's and youth area, & a sizeable Spanish section.

  • Copies (10¢ from public copier)

  • Printed Pages from Public Access Computers (15¢)

  • Typewriter

  • Video Conference Machine (Skype)

  • CCTV

  • Low Vision Aid for Sight Impaired Patrons

  • 8 Public Access Computers

  • (3) Portable CD/Cassette/Stereos for checkout

  • WIFI Access for use with your own Laptop

  • A conference room for your convenience with a reservation.

Other Points of Interest

We have a comfortable seating area with 4 chairs and a coffee table near our magazine & newspaper area.  We also have many tables with chairs for you to use for homework, projects, etc.

In our children's area, we have books in a bag with an audio version of that book for you to check out.  There are 4 computers located in this area that have children's games.  (No internet service is available on these computers.)  Seating is provided in our children's area as well with a rocking chair, and two overstuffed arm chairs for your comfort.

Displays change on a regular basis.  Come often to see what new items are in our display areas.  If you have something you would like to display, please talk to our director.
