DONATIONS to ONEONTA PUBLIC LIBRARY

***As of 1/20/2010, the Oneonta Public Library is NOT ACCEPTING ANY DONATIONS due to the lack of space and the overabundance of “sale” books that we are currently experiencing.

Please take any books, videos, or other materials to Goodwill.***

Oneonta Public Library will accept the occasional donation, but with the understanding that they are evaluated according to the same selection policy that governs the acquisitions of purchased materials.  The acceptance of a gift by The Oneonta Public Library does not mean that the library will add the gift to our collection, but may instead sell the books to raise money for the library.  Book sales and interlibrary exchanges are examples of other ways in which gifts may be used beneficially.

Although Oneonta Public Library acknowledges gifts for tax purposes, it cannot be responsible for assessing the monetary value of gifts; however, a letter will be sent to the donor to be used for tax purposes.
