DONATIONS to ONEONTA PUBLIC LIBRARY

Oneonta Public Library welcomes gifts but accepts them with the understanding that they are evaluated according to the same selection policy that governs the acquisitions of purchased materials. The acceptance of a gift by Oneonta Public Library does not mean that the library will automatically add the gift to our collection. Book sales and interlibrary exchanges are examples of other ways in which gifts may be used beneficially.

Anyone desiring that gift materials be returned if they cannot be added to the library collection should make this stipulation at the time of donation.

Although Oneonta Public Library acknowledges gifts for tax purposes, it cannot be responsible for assessing the monetary value of gifts.
