The city of Oneonta now has two new Little Free Libraries, located at City Hall and Woodland Scout Park.

Little Free Library book-sharing boxes are open seven days a week, 24 hours a day and are freely accessible to all, removing barriers to book access.
Feel free to take, add, and return books to the Little Free Library boxes. We just ask you take only one at a time so everyone in the community can enjoy access. Have books you’d like to donate? Just bring them by the library or City Hall and we’ll make sure it’s stocked.

Special thanks to Oneonta Park & Recreation for building the libraries.
*Please note, both locations are under camera surveillance.

The Oneonta Public Library is one of 88 public libraries throughout the state participating in Reimagining School Readiness, a program that features research-backed resources for parents or caregivers that profoundly bolsters school readiness for children ages 0-8.

The Reimagining School Readiness (RSR) Toolkit was developed by the Bay Area Discovery Museum and promotes early childhood development through fun, everyday activities that can happen at the library or at home.

Call and ask about our RSR resources, available for checkout by searching STEM KITS in our catalog, or get started with these easy guides for learning at home:
